Community Kudos
Thank you to all of our wonderful OHS supporters – individuals, companies, groups and associations who have organized a community event or activity to raise money for Ottawa's animals.
Whether big or small, private or public, the effort and passion that you put into each and every event is appreciated and has a positive impact on the lives of the animals we care for.
Global Pet Foods once again selected the Ottawa Humane Society (OHS) as the local recipient for their “Show Us Your Heart” campaign. Taking place for one week in February, customers were asked to make a donation with their purchase. The event was a huge success and resulted in a $1,935 donation for Ottawa’s animals!
Something sweet was going on at the BTI Systems Inc offices as they held an office bake sale in support of the OHS. By the end of the day they were able to raise over $1,200. Congratulations on your success!
A round of applause to Greg Langille and the Bible All-Stars for once again hosting a concert in support of the OHS. The event, in its third year, raised nearly $500. To date Greg and the Bible-All Stars have donated over $2,500 to Ottawa’s animals.
A big thank you to the staff at the Bytowne Cinema for their generous donation of $400. The staff pooled their tip jar earnings and decided to donate the money to Ottawa’s animals. A purrfect idea!
A big thank you to Lise Landriault, Cosmetic Manager, at Shoppers Drug Mart on Merivale for coordinating a cosmetic gala and animal appreciation day in support of Ottawa’s animals. Lise proved that you can have lots of fun, while also fundraising, and was able to make a donation of over $800!
Emily Carr Middle School and Stephen Leacock Public School held end of the year student fundraiser and donated the proceeds to the OHS. Each school was able to raise $500 for the animals in our care. Thank you for your generosity and have a safe summer!
For the second year in a row, the OHS was the recipients of donations collected at the McCann Team – Royal Lepage Team Realty client appreciation event. This year, clients were treated to a morning at the movies, where $329 was collected for the animals. Thank you to event organizer Stephanie Duffey for continuing to support Ottawa’s animals.
