Thank you to the many people and organizations who have held events to raise funds for the OHS!

Events we cannot support

  • door to door canvassing
  • selling coupon books or cards on your behalf
  • events that require OHS financing
  • events with a high risk of injury

Ongoing Events

Mortgage broker, Amanda Farris, of Centrum City Mortgages will be donating a percentage of her sales of the Ottawa Humane Society when a new mortgage is purchased. For more information on how to help supports Ottawa's animals contact Amanada at 613-866-4089 or mortgages @amandafarris.ca.

Purchase a personalized bookmark or magnetic picture ($3 each or both for $5) and help to buy much-needed wish list items for the animals at the OHS. For more information, contact Carole.

Community Kudos

Thank you to all of our wonderful OHS supporters – individuals, companies, groups and associations who have organized a community event or activity to raise money for Ottawa's animals.

Whether big or small, private or public, the effort and passion that you put into each and every event is appreciated and has a positive impact on the lives of the animals we care for.

Juniper Dining

Juniper’s Dueling Chef Challenge is a head to head culinary competition, involving chefs from Ottawa and the Ottawa valley region, hosted by Juniper Kitchen and Wine Bar. Juniper kitchen and Wine Bar is working together with local sponsors, Sasloves Meat Market, Beaus Brewery, and C.A Paridis, in an effort to support local charities this winter.

Mambo

It was A Night to Remember at Mambo Restaurante Nuevo Latino on November 5th for Ottawa’s animals. This exquisite dinner and fashion show raised $1,200. A big thank you to event organizers Richard Gauthier, Kita Spaz and Megan Dufield, as well as, Mambo owner Marisol Simoes.

Single Gourmet

Meet Your Match, an annual dinner/ dance that has taken place in Ottawa since 2002 was held in October, with the proceeds once again benefiting the Ottawa Humane Society. Since 2005 the event has raised over $9,000 for Ottawa’s animals! Thank you very much to event organizer Carol Gordon, from Single Gourmet, who spends countless hours ensuring the success of this spectacular event!

American Express

Thank you very much to American Express - Department of National Defence who held an office bowling fundraiser as part of their Goodwill Committee. They event raised $650 for Ottawa’s animals. STRIKE!

Arido

ARIDO could not have asked for better weather to for their annual golf tournament to support Ottawa’s animals. The event raised over $1,500, as well as, a van load of food, treats, and toys for the animals at the shelter. Thank you to event organizer Margaret Jackson whose passion for Ottawa’s animals was evident in all of her hard work planning this outstanding day!

Royal Oak

Thank you to the Wellington and Hunt Club Royal Oak Pub locations for their continued support of the Ottawa Humane Society. Through their Royal Oak Days staff driven fundraiser that benefits local area charities, they were able to raise nearly $2,400 for Ottawa’s animals. We genuinely appreciate all of their hard work on this endeavor, as well as, all of their support over the years.

Golf

In its fifth year, the Lisa Kinahan Invitation Golf Tournament raised $840 for the animals in our care. A huge thank you to event organizer, Ryan Smith, who dedicates countless hours to ensure this event’s success, while also honouring the memory of his dear friend Lisa.

Art in the Alley

July’s rainy weather didn’t stop three of Ottawa’s up and coming local artists help Ottawa’s animals through their Art in the Alley fundraiser. Andrew King, Tammy Shane, and Alison Fowler raised over $700 during their three-day event that took place in an alley way off of Wellington St. The weekend of art and jazz music will surely be a not to miss event in the year’s to come!
