Resource KitAre you looking for a fun and informative activity that emphasizes character education for your students? The Ottawa Humane Society offers a Humane Education Resource Kit (JK-8) that promotes respect and empathy toward people, animals and the environment. Our teacher-reviewed presentations have been designed to complement the Government of Ontario's Ministry of Education elementary curriculum requirements (where possible).

Each kit includes the following:

  • Nine presentation scripts with a list of the props required;
  • Follow-up activity sheets to enhance the learning objectives;
  • 11 animal photographs to be used per presentation;
  • One video; and
  • One evaluation form for your feedback.

*Please note: Material can be adapted for younger or older grades.
