Mr. & Mrs. Joseph and Dorothy Shipley held a bake sale in support of Ottawa’s animals and donated $76.23 to the Ottawa Humane Society. This wonderful couple sure knows the recipe to bake a difference in animal lives! We think they’re as sweet as sugar for this scrumptious donation!

The Royal Canadian Legion Westboro Branch 480 & Team – Makin’ Bacon Pancakes
The Royal Canadian Legion Westboro Branch 480 held its 10th Trivia Challenge for Charity — an event where teams compete to win donation to their favorite charities. Team Makin’ Bacon Pancakes placed third in the tournament and chose the Ottawa Humane Society as their recipient charity, meaning $200 for the animals at the OHS! Big thanks go out to Scott T., Jen T., Lexi C., Kristen W. and Michael V (the bacon pancake captain!) who knew that donating to help Ottawa’s animals was the right answer!
Lily C. decided she wanted to help the animals at the Ottawa Humane Society so she made up a sign asking for donations and hung it for all to see. The results? A whopping $30.77 for Ottawa’s animals! Wow Lily – that’s amazing! She also donated some yummy treats for the animals in the shelter to enjoy while they wait to go to their forever homes.
What is the best way to celebrate turning 11? Morgan B. thought that the best way to celebrate would be to ask for donations to Ottawa’s animals in lieu of birthday presents! This amazing 11 year-old raised $210 for Ottawa’s animals! Wow – way to go Morgan! And happy birthday from everyone at the OHS!
Meaghan H. turned nine years old and decided to celebrate by helping Ottawa’s animals. This amazing young lady asked for donations in lieu of birthday presents and raised a huge $150 for Ottawa’s animals. Way to go, Meaghan! From everyone at the OHS we want to say thank you and happy birthday!
