May Cool Kids & Community Kudos
Miss Amelia turned nine in a BIG way – by donating to the animals in the care of the Ottawa Humane Society! This wonderful young lady asked her party guests to make a donation in lieu of bringing her presents and she raised a HUGE $145 in support of the OHS. Happy birthday Amelia!
Elmood School Fry Club
Elmood School boasts a long list of cherished traditions… one of them being donating to Ottawa’s animals! The Fry Club, at Elmwood School, is a long standing OHS supporter and their most recent event raised $545.63 for Ottawa’s animals! WOW! Thank you Elmwood!
Elmridge School Age Program
The children at the Elmridge School Age Program LOVE animals so much that they chose the Ottawa Humane Society as the recipient charity for their “Wish You Well Cupcake Sale” event in February. This event raised a MASSIVE $48 for Ottawa’s animals! Well done, Elmridge School Age Program!
Kira C. wanted to help animals so she decided the best way she could do that would be to support the Ottawa Humane Society! This amazing young lady donated $95 to the OHS to help care for the animals! You’re AMAZING Kira!!
Asset Management/Business and Technical Services Branches Social Committee
The wonderful coworkers of the Asset Management/Business and Technical Services Branch of the City of Ottawa held a bakesale in April and it was a such a HUGE success they chose to donate the proceeds of the event, over $170, to the animals at the OHS. Thank you, AM/BTS Social Committee!
Yizhi Z. saw the story of Sadie the puppy on the news and wanted to help! This amazing young animal lover donated $5.50 to help Sadie and animals like her at the Ottawa Humane Society.

Marie-Eve, Manon & Audrey
Three friends Marie-Eve, Manon and Audrey decided they wanted to help the animals in the care of the Ottawa Humane Society so they baked cupcakes to sell at their school! They sold the yummy treats to teacher and school administrators and raised a huge $45.05! Way to go!
Alexandra F. and Olivia F.
Alexandra and Olivia wanted a cool way to raise funds for the animals in the care of the Ottawa Humane Society so they chose to hold a lemonade stand and raised $36.85! We think that is one sweet way to help Ottawa’s animals, Alexandra and Olivia. Way to go!
Charlotte collected toys and donations for the animals in the care of the Ottawa Humane Society in lieu of asking for birthday presents to celebrate her 10th birthday. She raised a massive $275 and even got to see some of the kitties play with the toys she brought in! Happy Birthday Charlotte!
Alana B. decided she wanted to turn nine in a special way… by asking for donations to the OHS in lieu of birthday presents for herself! This generous young lady raised $80 in support of the animals at the OHS – great job Alana!
Mila D. decided to celebrate her sixth birthday with more than 10,000 new friends – the animals who will pass through the doors of the OHS in a year! How? By asking for donations in lieu of birthday presents and raising a huge $60 to help care for animals at the shelter! Happy birthday Mila!
