Register Now! Bring your canine friend or walk for a pet that prefers to stay at home and enjoy a scenic stroll in our nation’s capital around Dow's Lake at the beautiful Experimental Farm Arboretum. Check-in and activities begin at 8:30 a.m., and the 2km and 5km PetSmart walks step off at 10 a.m.

There will be contests, activities and attractions for all...browse the huge Pet Pavilion full of vendors and exhibitors, play around in the Family Fun Zone, discover your pet's artistic side at Puppy Picasso, get your portrait taken with your pet, bid on a special silent auction item, enjoy a complimentary coffee from McDonalds, and watch amazing feats of dog agility in the K-9 Fun Zone.

Pledges

You can raise even more money to help animals by asking friends and family to sponsor you at the walk. Raise just $100 to receive a commemorative walk T-shirt you can proudly wear on walk day! Raise $500 or more to become a VIP and enjoy many special perks. As a bonus, the top individual fundraiser will win a flight for two from WestJet.

Remember: pledges are instrumental in achieving our fundraising goal of $140,000 to help the animals!

Team up to walk

Team up! Would you like to walk alongside your co-workers, neighbours, family or friends? Why not consider signing up as a team? It’s easy to do — the online registration is the same for teams as it is for individual walkers. All that’s required is a team captain who signs up and forms a team. Members can be solicited by e-mail and pledges can be collected online.

There are terrific prizes available for top earning teams, and don’t forget to have your team photo taken on event day itself. For more information, please go to the Team Challenge section of our website.

Sponsor Rob! If you’re not able to join us on Sept. 7, but you’re still looking to pledge your support to the animals, why not sponsor OHS volunteer President Rob Cameron? This year Rob will be walking with his dog Haley on behalf of those who cannot attend. Visit Rob's Walkathon page to sponsor him! Last year over $1,700 was raised by our board president and this year Rob is hoping to top $2,500. Please support Rob in his quest to help the animals.
