Join us on September 12, 2010 for the 22nd annual IAMS Wiggle Waggle Walkathon. For the first time in its history the walkathon has a new location! This year's event will take place at the NCC property at Riverside Drive, across from the R/A Centre.
We invite supporters of all ages and physical abilities including: families, children, adults, seniors as well as community and corporate teams to walk and raise pledges to help Ottawa's animals. Participants can choose between a 5km walk and a 2km walk and can walk with or without a dog. Walk day unfolds with numerous activities for the whole family: a scenic healthful walk and a festival atmosphere that includes a Family Fun Zone, Pet Pavilion Marketplace, dog agility area, various other pet and family friendly activities, a BBQ lunch, contests and prizes.
With the generous support of corporate sponsors and over 1000 individual and team registrants and 2,000 attendees annually gathering pledges, the event raised $206,000 last year and more than one million since its inception.
