United Way - Direct Your Gift to Ottawa's Animals
You can join thousands of individuals from our community who have chosen to direct their United Way donation (or a portion of) to the animals at the Ottawa Humane Society.
If you have not yet decided how to direct your annual United Way gift, please consider directing all or a portion of it to the almost 11,000 animals we care for every year. Helping us give an animal a second chance is easy.
How your United Way gift helps
Last year over 3,500 caring donors gave to Ottawa's animals via their United Way gift and raised over $170,000. These gifts were used in critical areas like the Ottawa Humane Society in-house clinic, where veterinary staff perform 500 life-saving procedures on animals in need every year as well as spay and neuter operations on 3,000 animals.
