Blooms & Berries Update

Our 4th annual 2011 Blooms & Berries fundraiser held on June 12th, was a great success raising $2,700. Plans are underway for the Spring 2012 Blooms & Berries. Details will be announced as the time grows closer.

Background

The Ottawa Humane Society Auxiliary was formed in 1949. Its mandate is to support the Society, and to raise funds for the animals in their care. Throughout the past 60 years, these funds have supported fostering, adoption, medicines, food and equipment — whatever is needed to care for the animals. We achieve this mandate through our annual "Blooms & Berries" fundraisers, craft and garage sales, etc. We also assist the OHS at many of its events by volunteering to help in various capacities.

Auxiliary Meetings

Our monthly meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month (except July and August) at the new shelter on 245 West Hunt Club. From time to time, after the business portion of our meeting is completed, we have a speaker/presentation on an animal related topic. We finish by socializing over tea and goodies.

All are welcome.  Please join us!
