Welcome Message from Chief White
Please join me and hundreds of other participants on Sunday, September 11th at this year's Iams Wiggle Waggle Walkathon. I am pleased to act as Honoary Chair for the 4th consecutive year in this important fundraising event for the Ottawa Humane Society, an organization that has been helping injured and abandoned animals in the capital region for over 120 years.
As Chief of Ottawa's Police Service, I'm well aware of the critical work carried out by the OHS Rescue and Investigation Services (RIS) team as they rescue animals in distress, investigate cases of abuse and neglect and provide emergency transportation for injured and sick stray animals in Ottawa. The efforts of our officers and the Ottawa Humane Society often overlap as we strive to keep our community safe for all its inhabitants.
Please lend your support to keeping the animals of Ottawa safe and protected by collecting pledges for this year's Walkathon. With your help, we can make a positive difference in our community by making a difference in the lives of its animals.
