Hi, I’m Minou!

From my foster family: “Minou is a compassionate companion that will follow you around the house and make the cutest sleeping poses and faces! He is shy at first, but when he is confident, he will sleep with you or close to you, will always want to be around you, and will love to explore. If I were to describe him with two words I would say he is a Sleeping Beauty! The most loveable thing about him is when he is playful, he almost becomes a kitten. He is a cat with a lot of love to give!"

The staff at the OHS call me a Poet! Did you know that Poets thrive in calm, stable environments? When things are a little too new and different, these kitties have a hard time showing their true personalities. Because Poets find change so hard, they usually like lots of safe places to hide and high perches to rest on. While each Poet is a little different, things that usually bring them out of their shell include playing with their favourite toys, eating some of their favourite treats, and seeking attention from their favourite people. During periods of change, Poets need a safe refuge where they be surrounded by these favourite things.

Poets can have different preferences, and it might take a little while to figure them out. Some Poets prefer play interactions where they can stalk and hunt in a fun game with you, while others may enjoy curling in your lap for a cozy snooze. While you may not see a lot of them at first, they'll be thinking of you... and after they settle in, you'll think they've always belonged!

I'm technically a senior, but the staff here at the OHS call me vintage. I'm a 2017 model, equipped with all the kitty bells and whistles and a state of the art no cost adoption fee - that's right, no adoption fee! I'm parked at the OHS's "lot", stop by today for a visit!

I had some “hairballs” while in a foster which now appear resolved. It is possible I may need regular brushing to reduce the risk of “hairballs” in the future.

I have some dental tartar on my teeth, and some associated gum inflammation. I will likely require a thorough oral health assessment and dental cleaning under general anesthesia within the next year.

I have had repeated or long-lasting upper respiratory infection ("cat cold"). I'm fine now, but I could have flare ups in the future that would require veterinary care, and I might be contagious to other cats at times.

I am currently relaxing in a foster home as I wait for my forever family. Please contact an adoptions staff to book an appointment to meet me!
