Bear - The Ideal Housemate
Hi, I'm Bear!
The staff at the OHS call me a Happy Homebody! Did you know that Happy Homebodies are friendly, laid back, happy to go with the flow, and only need a small amount of exercise each day to stay happy and healthy? That means you'll need to help them watch their figure! Only low-cal and healthful treats for a Happy Homebody. These happy-go-lucky pups, with their chill attitude and calm demeanor, are a fantastic addition to most families. And while they may be content to listen to the couch calling their name, Happy Homebodies still need and enjoy a daily neighbourhood stroll and fresh air. Other fun ways to help them maintain their figure include work-to-eat games like food puzzles, training games, and searching out hidden treats! If you're looking for a reliable and chill family companion, a Happy Homebody is your dog!
I had some excessive gum tissue which was removed at the OHS during a dental procedure. I may be prone to developing this again in the future and a veterinarian should monitor my gums.
I have a liver enzyme elevation on blood work that is suspected to be an age-related change. My new veterinarian may recommend following this value with repeat blood work over-time.
I have a lipoma that was removed here at the OHS!
If you are interested in setting up an appointment to adopt me, please complete an adoption application. Please be advised that although we do offer on-the-spot-adoptions, this is dependent on appointment schedules and cannot be guaranteed.
My ID number is A265384 when you fill out my adoption application <3
