East — The Energetic Sidekick
Hi, I’m East!
The staff at the OHS call me a Socialite. Did you know that a Socialite's absolute favourite thing is hanging out with their people? They love being at the centre of attention and are excited to meet almost anyone. Socialites enjoy activities like joining in on family outings and going for leisurely walks, playing games like tug and fetch, and participating in training games! And while they might enjoy the occasional run or hike, they are usually content to stick around the neighbourhood. Most Socialites enjoy finishing off a day by settling down with a chew toy or puzzle feeder while you relax for the evening. So, if you like the company of a dog that will adore you and want to be involved in all of your activities, you'll have lots of fun with a Socialite!
Special Considerations:
- I am being monitored for dog reactivity.
- I am missing some teeth. I will require regular veterinary check-ups to monitor these areas of my mouth for any changes and it is possible my veterinarian may recommend dental care for this condition under anesthesia in the future.
- I have some teeth that are worn. This is likely due to me chewing objects that are too hard. I will require regular veterinary check-ups to monitor my teeth. In the future I may need dental care for this condition under general anesthesia, possibly including dental extractions or other procedures.
- The 5th digit (toe) on my left forelimb sits slightly upwards compared to my other digits. It is not causing any discomfort and I am ready to find my forever home.
- This dog has been diagnosed with a heart murmur. A heart murmur is an abnormal sound a veterinarian can hear when listening to an animal’s heart. Many animals with heart murmurs go on to live happy and healthy normal lives.
I am currently relaxing in a foster home as I wait for my forever family. Please contact an adoptions staff to book an appointment to meet me!
If you are interested in setting up an appointment to adopt me, please complete an adoption application. Please be advised that although we do offer on-the-spot-adoptions, this is dependent on appointment schedules and cannot be guaranteed.
My ID number is A270104 when you fill out my adoption application <3
