George - the Gentle Giant
Hi, I’m George!
Here's what my foster volunteers have to say about me:
"George is a calm and gentle cuddle bug who loves to lean on people to get scritches. A bit of a couch potato, he is happy to have just a couple of short walks a day. George does things at his own pace but is quick with a wag of his little tail and a deep purr to show you he is a happy boy. He is great in the car, and can be trusted to be left at home alone. If you don't have a lot of time for extensive exercise, but are looking for a loyal and lovable companion, George is your boy!”
The staff at the OHS call me a Happy Homebody! Did you know that Happy Homebodies are friendly, laid back, happy to go with the flow, and only need a small amount of exercise each day to stay happy and healthy? That means you'll need to help them watch their figure! Only low-cal and healthful treats for a Happy Homebody. These happy-go-lucky pups, with their chill attitude and calm demeanor, are a fantastic addition to most families. And while they may be content to listen to the couch calling their name, Happy Homebodies still need and enjoy a daily neighbourhood stroll and fresh air. Other fun ways to help them maintain their figure include work-to-eat games like food puzzles, training games, and searching out hidden treats! If you're looking for a reliable and chill family companion, a Happy Homebody is your dog!
I have handling sensitivities!
I have chronic ear infections.
I have some extra gum tissue at my upper and lower canine teeth. At this time my gums should be monitored regularly by a veterinarian for any changes going forward.
I have some dental tartar on my teeth, and some associated gum inflammation. I will likely require a thorough oral health assessment and dental cleaning under general anesthesia within the next year.
I have a small mass on my left thigh. It is unlikely that this will be a problem in the future however it should be monitored. If in the future the mass changes a veterinarian may discuss removing and testing the mass.
If you are interested in setting up an appointment to adopt me, please complete an adoption application. Please be advised that although we do offer on-the-spot-adoptions, this is dependent on appointment schedules and cannot be guaranteed.
My ID number is A264472 when you fill out my adoption application <3
