Whiskers in a Winter Wonderland Family Event
Looking for ways to celebrate the season with the whole family? Join us at the Whiskers in a Winter Wonderland Family Event for an afternoon of cozy fun for all ages! Enjoy activities such as:
- Family Photo Booth
- Festive Craft Tables
- “Gingerbread” Castle Building for Shelter Animals
- Temporary Snowflake Tattoo Station
- Winter Wonderland Games
- Guided Mini Tours
Plus, visiting families will get to view all the shelter animals in the Adoption Centre!
Date: Sunday, Dec. 14, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Drop-in anytime, but keep in mind that the fun wraps up right at 4 p.m. sharp, so plan your arrival accordingly!
Location: Ottawa Humane Society Adoption Centre (245 West Hunt Club Rd.)
Cost: Tickets are $5 a child (ages 2-14), and accompanying adults get free entry.
Event supplies are limited, purchase tickets in advance to guarantee your spot! Tickets are non-refundable. Teenagers and adults who would like an event bag can purchase one onsite for $5.
Support for Pets and People in Need
The OHS Emergency Pet Food Bank supports Ottawa-area residents who are temporarily struggling with the cost of pet ownership by providing short term relief with pet food.
We invite families to bring in unopened bags of food and treat donations for pets in need.
At this time, the Emergency Pet Food Bank is most in need of:
- Unopened bags of cat or dog dry kibble (While all contributions are appreciated, bags of 4kg or larger are especially helpful)

Tails of Love Valentine’s Event
The OHS invites you to our Tails of Love Valentine’s Event! We’ll be highlighting the heartwarming stories of the animals in our care, for a paw-sitively sweet way to celebrate the season. Kids will receive a themed event bag full of activities and can participate in crafting tables, games, tail-wagging activities and our seasonal photo booth.

Ready to shake off winter and spring into some fresh fun with the whole family? Join us for the OHS’s Petals & Paws Spring Event! It will be a blooming good time filled with cheerful games, colourful crafts, bright photo booth moments, and petal-perfect temporary tattoos alongside other tail-wagging fun for all ages.

Come in costume and join us for a frightfully fun time at our Howl-O-Ween Family Event! Get ready for a day of eerie games, creepy crafts, a fang-tastic photo booth, temporary tattoos, and other fur-raising activities the whole family will enjoy.
