Kallie — The Treat Seeker

Hi, I'm Kallie!

From my foster family: "Kallie is a beauty, with her dramatic black and white coloring, and is an independent and spunky little girl. She loves to eat and is my best buddy at mealtime, following me about and meowing conversationally. She loves a long nap, but she does get the zoomies and she runs about tossing her toys around or playing energetically with her feather wand."

The staff at the OHS call me a Star! Stars tend to be self-starters and like to spend part of their day on independent activities, like exploring every nook and cranny of your home! They also enjoy time with their family, but usually on their own terms. Their favourite family activities may include playing with engaging toys, participating in fun training games, or curling up for a nap somewhere close by. Stars are usually pretty resourceful and like to figure out how things work, so they benefit from places to explore and perches near windows. Stars may also be good candidates for harness training and leash walks outdoors! If you're looking for an entertainer with loads of personality, a Star might just be the purrfect match for you!

Special Considerations:

  • I am looking for a home with no young kids under 12.
  • I am looking for a home with no other cats.
  • I prefer to be handled on my own terms.
  • I have some dental tartar on my teeth, and some associated gum inflammation. I will likely require a thorough oral health assessment and dental cleaning under general anesthesia within the next year.
  • I lost weight at the OHS. My weight is stable but will need to be monitored by a veterinarian for continued weight gain.

I am currently relaxing in a foster home as I wait for my forever family. Please contact an adoptions staff at 613-725-3166 ext. 258 or adoptions@ottawahumane.ca to book an appointment to meet me!

If you are interested in setting up an appointment to adopt me, please complete an adoption application. Please be advised that although we do offer on-the-spot-adoptions, this is dependent on appointment schedules and cannot be guaranteed.

My ID number is A272576 when you fill out my adoption application <3
