$25,000 and Climbing: Ottawa Humane Society 50/50 Jackpot Offers Big Win for Animal Lovers
March 10, 2026 — The 50/50 jackpot in the Ottawa Humane Society’s For the Love of Animals Lottery has reached $25,000 and continues to grow, giving supporters across Ontario the chance to win big while helping animals in need.
Every ticket purchased for the lottery’s $50,000 Grand Prize draw also unlocks access to the Bonus 50/50 draw and early bird prizes, meaning supporters have multiple chances to win while helping vulnerable animals receive life-saving care.
Each day, hundreds of animals rely on the OHS for shelter, medical treatment and a second chance. Recently, a young puppy and his mother arrived at the OHS in urgent need of surgery; the kind of unexpected, costly care made possible through the generosity of the Ottawa community.
“Every ticket purchased helps ensure every animal who arrives injured or frightened with nowhere else to turn receives the care they need,” said Joshua Shaw, OHS Director: Development & Strategy. “At the same time, supporters have the chance to win an incredible prize. It’s a win for animals and a win for someone in our community.”
The 50/50 jackpot continues to grow with every ticket sold, giving participants the chance to take home the prize while supporting Ottawa’s animals in finding their loving homes. Tickets are on sale until Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
