Lottery to Support Homeless Animals - Ottawa Humane Society
Jan. 14, 2026 —Tickets are now available for the Ottawa Humane Society’s For the Love of Animals Lottery.
The grand prize is $50,000 cash and will be drawn on March 31, 2026. Thousands in early bird prizes will be drawn leading up to the grand prize draw. Lottery participants will also be able to purchase tickets for the Bonus 50/50 cash draw.
Proceeds from the lottery will provide life-saving care for the thousands of animals who will need care to the OHS this year.
“Our community is fantastic and always willing to support animals who desperately need their help,” said Joshua Shaw, OHS Director: Strategy & Development. “It’s exciting to provide various opportunities for our supporters to help the animals.”
Funds raised from the lottery will help animals like Billy, Bobby and Beau, three kittens who were found outdoors in the middle of winter with no one to care for them. Supporters make sure this little family and other kittens just like them can get the daily shelter and care they desperately need. These kittens will soon be receiving their neuter surgeries and starting the search for their forever home, all thanks to supporters of the OHS.
Tickets are on sale until Tuesday March 31 at 11:59 a.m., and can be purchased at: TheLoveofAnimalsLottery.ca.
Only people 18 years of age or older who are in Ontario at the time of purchase may purchase tickets.
