Two Unbelievable Cats

Two Unbelievable Cats

Recently, two cats came to the OHS needing urgent attention and care. Both were found lost and alone, out in the cold, with no one to give them the love and safety they desperately needed.

Diamond is a gorgeous black and white cat who was limping. It was clear she was injured and an X-ray revealed the extent of her injuries. Our veterinary team performed surgery on her hip to mend her leg and relieve her pain.

Diamond is now resting with a loving foster volunteer who is even helping her with physiotherapy. But Diamond isn’t the only cat who needed the OHS’s veterinary team.

Hazel is a brave, brown tabby cat. At only two years old, she was alone and struggling through a difficult pregnancy. She was suffering from dystocia, a serious condition where a mother has difficulty giving birth. Sadly, her little ones had already passed, but there was still hope for Hazel.

We performed an emergency spay surgery to save her life and relieve her pain. Though she lost her kittens, this resilient mom is now safe, receiving the care she needs and surrounded by love as she begins to heal.

Right now, for GivingTuesday, your gift will be doubled to help not one, but two cats like Diamond and Hazel. This winter, thousands of animals will rely on the OHS for warmth, love and life-saving care.

Your support will make second chances possible for twice as many animals in need.
