Explore Your Dog-Friendly Ottawa This Summer with OHS Dog-Friendly Bingo

There’s no better feeling than seeing a pet out in the neighbourhood with their person. Whether it’s a cat or a dog walking on a leash or a rabbit in a stroller — it’s clear Ottawa’s community values our bonds with our pets.

This summer, we’re inviting you to celebrate those bonds with Dog-Friendly Bingo!

The challenge is fun: pick up a bingo card at any participating OHS Dog-Friendly Business, then spend the summer exploring Ottawa with your four-legged best friend**. Visit a participating business, and you’ll collect a stamp on your card. Along the way, you might discover a new favourite café, boutique or patio while making memories with your dog.

The best part? The more you explore, the more chances you have to win fabulous prizes! Complete one line on your bingo card to earn one raffle entry. Complete two lines and you'll earn three entries, while a full card earns 10 chances to win one of several paw-some prize packs generously donated by our Dog-Friendly Businesses.

At the OHS, our Dog-Friendly Business program is about making Ottawa an even more pet-friendly community. When more businesses welcome well-behaved dogs, it becomes easier to include them in everyday life, strengthen the bond between people and their pets, and works to ensure no pets are dangerously left alone in a parked car.

Of course, it takes a village to make a community more pet-friendly. Every outing is an opportunity to be a great ambassador for dogs. Following good "petiquette" by keeping your dog leashed, respecting businesses and fellow patrons, and paying attention to your dog's comfort helps create positive experiences for everyone and encourages even more businesses to welcome furry customers.

The Dog-Friendly Bingo challenge runs until Aug. 31, so there's plenty of time to get out, discover new dog-friendly destinations and fill your card. When you've finished collecting stamps, simply scan the QR code on the back of your card to upload a photo and submit your entries. Since you can only submit your card once, be sure you've visited all the businesses you want before entering.

I can’t wait to see you and your pets out in the neighbourhood!
