Last Call to Wiggle Waggle!
If you’ve been thinking about joining us for the Wiggle Waggle Walk & Run, this is your sign.
Online registration closes Sunday, Sept. 20. There are only a few days left to join Ottawa’s biggest event for the animals at the Ottawa Humane Society.
On Saturday, Sept. 26, hundreds of dogs (and their people!) will take over our new location at Hog’s Back Park. Whether you’re tackling the 5K or 10K, joining your pup for the 2K Furry Fun Run, bringing the kids for the 1K Kids Fun Run or enjoying the 3K Walk, there’s a place for you.
You’ll get outside, get moving, spend time with friends and family, meet a lot of dogs and connect with a whole community of people who love animals as much as you do. There’s a pet-friendly marketplace, family fun zone, canine agility course, a pup-photo booth, and more!
Every registration and every dollar raised helps provide life-saving care for Ottawa’s homeless animals. Right now, there are more than 400 animals counting on the OHS for shelter and care each day. Your support means homeless animals have food and a warm place to sleep. It means veterinary treatment is available for an animal who arrives at the shelter sick or injured. It means animals can find the behaviour support, attention and time they need to get ready for a loving new home. It also supports education and outreach that help build a more humane and compassionate community.
Last year, more than 1,400 people and 500 pets came together for Wiggle Waggle. That’s a lot of paws, running shoes and people standing together for Ottawa’s animals. This year, I hope you’ll be one of them.
