Our Adult Community Workshop offers hands-on experiences designed for people who love animals and want to get creative, build new skills, and deepen their understanding of the animals we care for.
Felted Cat Toy Workshop
Looking for a fun and hands-on way to support shelter animals while doing something special for your own cat? Join us for a creative workshop where you’ll make enrichment toys for your own cat to enjoy at home.
These handmade felted toys will be created using wool fibres and felting needles, transforming simple materials into durable, engaging toys designed for feline play and enrichment.
As you create, we’ll explore the importance of enrichment for cats, including their natural instincts and behavioural needs, and how play supports their physical and emotional wellbeing.
This workshop will be led in partnership with Wabi Sabi, an independently owned, Ottawa-based yarn and fibre arts store, who will guide you through the materials and toy-making process to create something fun, functional, and completely unique for your cat.
Date: Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Location: Ottawa Humane Society Education Centre
Cost: $60 (taxes included)

- Refund requests received 48 hours in advance of a scheduled program are eligible for a refund (a $25 administration fee is non-refundable). Refund requests received within 48 hours of the scheduled program are not eligible for a refund.

- This event is scheduled for 2 hours.
- Yourself! All supplies will be provided.
- Water bottles are permitted in the Education Centre.
