Take Our Kids to Work Day
Take Our Kids to Work Day is an annual career-exploration event that provides Grade 9 students with meaningful opportunities to experience the world of work and discover diverse career pathways.
We're hosting a special event featuring lessons on humane care, interactive activities, a tour of the Shirley Kearns Memorial Adoption Centre, and the opportunity to meet a member of our team who helps care for the animals every day.
We’ll introduce participants to a few other animal-related career pathways, such as dog walker, pet sitter, pet groomer, veterinary technician, animal behaviour specialist, and more!

Age
Students currently enrolled in Grade 9.
Location
The Ottawa Humane Society (245 West Hunt Club Road).
Cost
$75 per participant.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Refund requests received 7 days in advance of the scheduled program are eligible for a refund (a $25 non-refundable administration fee applies). Refund requests received within 7 days of the scheduled program are not eligible for a refund. Refunds will not be granted for missed sessions.
Full refunds will be issued in the event the OHS has to cancel a scheduled program.
